Peer Support
Peer Support is fundamental to everything we do at SCIL. We believe that all Disabled People regardless of their impairment, build up a great deal of expertise in their life, from problem solving to how to open a jam jar.
At SCIL, we try to encourage Disabled People to share their expertise and learn from others. We do that in a number of ways from running a Friendship Club, attending a Peer Support Group, organising conferences and debates of interest to Disabled People.
We hope by doing this that more Disabled People will become empowered and exercise choice and control in all areas of their life.
